Morris 8 4 door saloon '38-'48 |
Morris bounced back after WWII with its best selling Eight. A 2 or
4 door saloon in a pre-war design with a faithful old 29bhp 918cc flathead
engine. Plus points for the time were a four speed box and hydraulic brakes! Production 120, 434 |

Morris Minor Series II 2 Door Saloon '50 -'52 (light shading) (Print available as 2 or 4 door + Traveller) The split windscreen Minor. Improvement on the earlier '48 series 1, but still old 918cc side-valve power. Headlamps now moved from the radiator grille to the outer wings for American lighting regulations. |

948 cc
engine till '62...
1098cc from 1962 onwards and a possible 70 mph now! A further development of the ever popular Minor designed by Issigonis; all together they sold well over a million units to become a BMC legend! |

Here's the 4 door version... but the list of things the model turned into was endless. |

Morris 1000 Traveller '56-'71 |
A pretty aluminium panelled wood clad estate with van type doors. The wood is structural so needs plenty of attention to stop it rotting believe me... I know.... I've had one! Wonderful traffic semaphores before '62 |

Morris 1000 Convertible '56 - '69 |
True open-air motoring for the ordinary man in the street. As an art student we trashed one in the late 60's.... sorry! Highly collectable today! |
Morris 1000 Van They all had them; GPO, Royal Mail, AA, Police, Alf the Greengrocer, the list went on.... |

Morris 1000 Pick-up |
| ...even Bob the Builder had a pick-up truck! | |||||||||

Morris Mini mk1 |
The BMC all time classic! Marketed under Austin as the Seven & Morris as the Mini-Minor in 1959 with a transverse engine, rubber suspension and a sump mounted 4 speed box.... another Issigonis design that revolutionised car design overnight! One could fill pages writing about it. If you've never driven one, you'll not know what all the fuss is about... just make sure you drive one before you die! Bad points.... YES.... they rust! |

Another best seller for BMC from the pen of designer Alex Issigonis. A 'grown up' Mini and a great drive too; alas they rotted in front of your eyes.... few remain! |
