Range Rover Series 1  3/5 door  1970 - 1995
 Wednesday 17th June 1970. The car that single-handedly redefined the world's 4x4 market is announced!
Built originally as a rugged 3 door utilitarian off-roader with Vinyl seats, rubber mats and plastic dash that could be hosed down when grubby.... only later did life's little luxuries start to accumulate.
 The first 5 door body appeared in 1981 whilst the the last ever 3 door disappeared with the demise of the Series 1.
   

Range Rover Series 1  Vogue

Luxury accumulates... and the final run-out Series 1 Vogue had the lot.
Air-Con, power steering, Wilton carpet, full leather and wood interior trim, etc, etc, etc.
Although the new P38 appeared in 1994 the Series 1 soldiered on for another year for those customers who preferred the traditional 'Classic' model!
