S3  (also available with fog lamps)  '86-'94

The turning point in TVR's fortunes. With Peter Wheeler now the owner the 'S' series was unveiled at the 1986 NEC Motor Show
to so much acclaim that in less than 12 months it went into in full production.
Powered by Ford's magnificent Cologne V6 engines of 2.8 & 2.9 litre.
Production for S2/3/4  2,604

S4 / V8S

The V8S featured the much loved fuel injected Rover V8 of 4.0 litre that pushed out 240bhp.
It could rocket its occupants to 100mph in less than 13 seconds making it faster than most of the supercars of the era.
A rare bird as only 410 were produced.

          Griffith  '91-'02

Chimaera  '92-01 (light)

There was a 200, a 400 and a 500, all featuring the big old Rover V8
of 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 litre.
The 500 pumped out 340bhp taking it to an astonishing 169mph max!
The Chimaera was named after a mythical Greek monster that was made up from multiple creatures.

               Chimaera '92-'01 (dark)

Used the same chassis as the Griffith and that faithful old Rover V8 4.0 litre lump to power it,
the original Chimaera could achieve 150+ if required.

               Chimaera  '01-'03

Stuff the 5 litre version under that long sloping bonnet and you could get to 100mph in 10.5 seconds and on to 163!

Cerbera Speed 6   '99-'07

The Cerbera got its name from the legendary Greek three headed beast Cerberus that guarded the entrance to Hades.
Its straight six cylinder motor of either 3.6 or 4.0 litres was designed and built by TVR themselves.
Originally there were some reliability problems, but later versions eliminated the problems;
though it must be said it's still a very sensitive engine!

  Cerbera 4.5  series 1

TVR ditched the old Rover V8 when Rover fell into the hands of BMW.
It designed and built its own highly sophisticated racing V8 engine of 4.2 litres.
This was later enlarged to 4.5.
Expect 185mph from a well sorted example.

Tuscan 1 + 'S'  '99-'05

The Speed 6.... It looked as though it had decended from the planet Zog when first released in 1999.
A real head-turning piece of kit that got it a starring role in the John Travolta film 'Swordfish'.
4 litre straight Six with 380 bhp or 400 bhp in the 'S'
Awesome machines!!

       Tuscan II +S  '05-'06

A slightly tweeked facelift with twin recessed lights each side now.
Still looked the business, but not as dramatic as the mk1 I have to say.
The 'S' had minor aerodynamic aids in the form of an under-tray at the front and a small boot-lid spoiler at the rear.
Soldiered on to the end of the Blackpool era.

       Tuscan R

The 'R' was by far the rarest of the Tuscan family with very few ever making it past the Blackpool factory gates!

             Tamora mk1 & 2   '02-'06

A 2 seater sportscar fitted with TVR's own 'in-house' DOHC 3.6 litre straight Six powerhouse that cranked out 350 bhp.
It could accelerate from 0 -60 in 4.2 second and hit a top speed of over 170 mph.
In keeping with TVR tradition the designers totally ignored European guidelines that all new cars should be fitted with safety aids.
Hence no Traction Control, ABS or Airbags!!

      T350 Targa  '02-'06

Based on the Tamora with the same 3.6 litre engine. Targa topped version of the T350 coupe.

T350 Coupe '02-'06

TVR's DOHC straight Six engine could hurl this glass reinforced plastic beauty up to 100 mph in 9.5 seconds
and on to an incredible 190 mph. Still no safety aids if you get into trouble!

Sagaris  '05-'06

Designed by Graham Browne & Lee Hodgetts. The first and last cars of the Nikolai Smolenski era.
Got it's name 'Sagaris' from the Greek name for a lightweight battleaxe.
4 litre DOHC straight Six capable of 185mph.
The Blackpool factory finally closed it gates for business in December 2006 amid much protest from workers and enthusiast alike.
There are plans to bring the TVR brand back to life, but not on the Lancashire coast!
